The Nutrition Engine for Development

During their first year, puppies and kittens grow at an astronomical rate, requiring up to twice the energy intake per pound of body weight compared to adult animals. Proper nutrition is critical to support skeletal formation, cognitive development, and immune system strength.

Feeding Schedules by Age Milestone

  • 6 to 12 Weeks: Feed 4 meals per day. Rapid growth stage requiring high-protein puppy or kitten formulas.
  • 3 to 6 Months: Transition to 3 meals per day. Ensure portion sizes are adjusted to prevent rapid weight gain, which can stress developing joints.
  • 6 to 12 Months: Feed 2 meals per day. Keep tracking body condition and transition to adult formula around 10–12 months.
